Artist KAWS, aka Brian Donnelly, snapped this shot of his 60-foot Moonman at MTV’s VMA Awards, and, while he was at it, caught rapper Pharrell in the shot. Sorry, no Miley Cyrus here.

Pre-MTV VMAs, “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” phenom Richard Simmons apparently drove artist Jeanette Hayes home. Fun Sunday!

Curator Monica Espinel brings us The Flintstones, Seoul style.

Why was artist David Choe, who we interviewed before his Mexico City show a few weeks back, giving a speech to a group of renowned chefs at the MAD Symposium in Copenhagen, Denmark? Thankfully, some issues with famed chef Alain Ducasse and the Porta Potty were resolved… As per Choe’s Instagram: “Doing stump up in front of hundreds of the greatest chefs in the world gave me the royal nervous scared turtle shits, I feel blessed and honored to have received my own toilet at @madsymposium only to have that fucker Alain ducasse shit all over my shit!”

Artist Alex Israel made his way to Stockholm where he kicked it at a nightclub with a member of Ace of Base. But is this Ulf “Buddha” Ekberg or Jonas “Joker” Berggren? Israel’s query, “Remember Ace of Base?” was met with this quippy rejoinder by @aggregatesupply: “Who has to remember. They should still be fresh in the mind of all amazing medium aged persons, and extras.”

Here’s Hayes again with those scary ATL Twins from “Spring Break”…

… who are in New York?

Get your counter-surveillance clothing — anti-drone scarf anyone? — at the New Museum’s Privacy Gift Shop. Get these items (designed by Adam Harvey and Johanna Bloomfield) while they last. This shop within the museum store is open through September 22.

Arts blogger Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis was in Tokyo, where she snapped pics with a friend at a “girls only” photo booth.

Meanwhile, artist Sam Moyer was in Detroit visiting Mike Kelley’s “Mobile Homestead” at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.
